About Your Trip
Josh Heling Guide:
Josh is from Shawano, Wisconsin. He was born and raised here. Being from a small town gives him a friendly, down to earth attitude. It is that attitude that lets him give each trip the personal attention needed to make your experience the best possible. By treating everyone as a friend or neighbor, and not just another customer, he can make your fishing trip the most enjoyable time you could hope for.
No request will go ignored and he will try to fulfill each as best as possible.
Fully licensed and insured guide and avid fisherman for 20 years.
On the Pro Staff for Beast Teaser Bucktails. www.beastteaser.com Extensive Walleye fishing in early spring and winter. Extensive Musky fishing in late spring, summer, and fall. Extensive fishing on both Shawano Lake and Surrounding Waters.
About your trip: Whether it be walleye, musky, or just action fishing you will be using the most up to date tackle and learning how to apply the best techniques to catch fish. As in all cases my clients fish from the front of the boat having first chance at all water as I run the boat and fish from the back.
I run a 17.5' Crestliner FishHawk Tiller, powered by a 60 HP Mercury motor, with all the latest Lowrance fish graphs and GPS.
All ice fishing trips will have either a lunch or supper provided by your guide.
About your day of fishing: We will meet about 7:00 AM, load up equipment, get any live bait necessary, fishing licenses, food, etc... Any live bait for the day will be paid for by the customer before fishing starts. It is always a good idea to bring a rain suit even if you don't think it's going to rain. I will inform the client of the recent catches and what baits have been working, and answer any questions. A full day will consist of no less than 8 hours of fishing and a half day is no less than 4 hours.
What to Bring: All you need to bring for a day of fishing is clothing to suit the weather and any food that you think you may want. Polarized fishing glasses are a must for musky fishing so be sure to get a pair if you don't have a pair already. A personal camera is a good idea to bring but I supply a digital camera that is included with the trip and pictures will be sent back via email. Temperatures in the summer can reach the 90 degree range and a good supply of water and sports drinks is a good idea to bring (not alcohol). Six cans of beer is all that is allowed at one time in my boat per person.
Full and Half Day Rates: Full day - no less than 8 hours of fishing - $275.00 Half day- no less than 4 hours of fishing - $180.00 Week night special (5pm-9pm)-$150 Customers pay for all live bait
